Alright Los Angelenos, the theory is that no body walks in L.A, but is that necessarily true?
Yes, everything is Los Angeles is 20 minutes away especially if you live in downtown. The accessibility to freeways is endless. Name a freeway, and there’s an interchange not too far away.
This is 2011, however, and it’s time to become less dependent on our cars as a means to get around. Transportation is abundant nowadays, and there’s no need to pay for that $4 gallon every time you want to go the grocery store, or to the movies.
Walk Score recently released a list of the most walk-able neighborhoods in Los Angeles, and without a doubt downtown was one of the most accessible neighborhoods with Koreatown coming in at number two. As a city we scored 66 in California.
It’s time to put those legs to use, and take advantage of the neighborhood you live in.
