Should the Judicial System Embrace Technology?

With the growth of social media and the communication barrier getting smaller everyday, there’s a discrepancy in how we receive and exchange information.

A few years ago, say about 5 years ago, the growth of social media, web technology, and it’s access to the masses was still in it’s infancy. Remember it was only 6 years ago that Youtube was founded, and it was only 4 years ago that we were able to see clear streaming video in our phones.

No Red Light Camera Enforcement?

Red-light cameras have been under heavy criticism since implemented in the city of Los Angeles. Monday, a city panel voted to phase out the system. 32 cameras will be shut down on a date to be announced.

Everybody loves the safety they promise until they are caught by what they thought was an innocent rolling stop. California courts have ruled red-light cameras constitutional although 8 states prohibit them. Despite the cameras best efforts to photograph both vehicle identification and the driver — the owner of the vehicle alone is responsible. Much like a parking ticket, such a ticket is considered an infraction, not a criminal offense.  What does that mean for car owners? Simple. Many just disregard the ticket.

Graffiti as Art or Vandalism?

Having our headquarters near the downtown Los Angeles Arts District it is hard not to run into some kind of graffiti. But is graffiti really vandalism or self expression?

In a place like, the Los Angeles Arts District, art (or expression) is highly encouraged, and there’s not one nook that goes unscathed, or for lack of a better word bombed. What used to be the Warehouse District has turned into an environment that hones artists’ display of art in every alleyway, and every building. The beautification of a neighborhood that use to look war torn can be highly attributed to one; the local leadership of the community, and secondly; local artist that have contributed and continue to contribute throughout the entire district.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department partners with Aerodynamix to Modify the AS350

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deparment and Aerodynamix announced the arrival of the modified Night Vision Goggle for the AS350. The eighth version of the Night Vision Goggle modification would allow for pilots and crew to easily adjust air crafts during the day instead of just being used by night.
